Italian Beds

There are various types of Italian beds available, each with its own unique style and design. Some of the most common types include:

Modern Platform Beds: These are characterised by a low profile design, with a slatted base that eliminates the need for a box spring or a divan bed base. They often have a sleek and modern look, making them popular in contemporary Italian bedroom designs.

Traditional Classic Beds: These beds are renowned for their intricate details and classic design. Borrowing elements from Baroque and Rococo styles, traditional ornate Italian beds often feature carved headboards, gilded accents, and luxurious fabrics. They are an ideal choice for those seeking a more opulent and grandiose aesthetic in their bedroom.

Upholstered Beds: These are bedframes that have been upholstered with fabric or leather, giving them a soft and plush feel. They can come in various styles, from classic to more modern designs and are a great option for adding texture and comfort to a room.

Storage Beds: As the name suggests, these beds come with built-in storage space underneath the mattress. This can be in the form of drawers or lift-up compartments, making them an ideal choice for smaller spaces that require extra storage. They are also great for keeping a room organized and clutter-free.

Canopy Beds: Or four poster beds are elegant and dramatic beds that feature four posts at each corner, with a canopy or fabric draped over the top. They add an air of luxury to a room and can come in various styles, from traditional to more contemporary designs.

Sleigh Beds: This type of bed has a distinctive curved headboard and footboard, resembling the shape of a sleigh. They are known for their classic and elegant look, making them a popular choice in traditional Italian bedroom designs.

Daybeds: These are versatile pieces of furniture that can function as both a bed and a sofa. They typically have three sides with an open front, allowing for easy seating during the day and a comfortable bed at night. They are great for guest rooms or smaller living spaces.

Sofa Beds: These are dual-purpose pieces of furniture that serve as a comfortable sofa during the day and transform into a bed at night. They come in various styles, from modern to traditional, and are an excellent choice for compact living spaces, studio apartments, or spare rooms. Sofa beds offer convenience and flexibility, allowing homeowners to maximise their space without compromising on style or comfort.

Given the vast number of options and customisations, it is not feasible to list all features on our website. However, if you find a style or design that appeals to you, we encourage you to get in touch with our team. We would be more than happy to discuss the various options available and assist you in crafting a bed that is perfect for you, one that truly aligns with your comfort needs and design preferences.

Yes, Italian beds are not only renowned for their superior design and craftsmanship, but they are also synonymous with comfort. Our beds come priced with the optional addition of a slatted bed base. This feature not only ensures excellent ventilation, consequently enhancing the life and freshness of the mattress, but also provides exceptional support, and are independent from the bed frame itself. The slats are designed to be responsive to weight, subtly adjusting to accommodate different body pressures, thereby promoting healthy sleep posture and comfort. This option, while not essential, elevates the overall sleep experience by coupling the aesthetic appeal of our Italian beds with heightened functionality.

While the quality of the bed frame contributes significantly to the overall comfort, the choice of mattress plays an equally important role. At Deluca Interiors, we understand that comfort is subjective and varies from person to person. Therefore, even though our Italian made bed frames are made from high-quality materials and feature designs that will truly stand out in your bedroom, we recommend selecting a mattress according to your comfort preference. This combination ensures that your bed is not only a piece of art but also a haven of restful sleep.

No, our Italian beds do not come with a mattress included in the price. All of our bed frames on our website include an optional slatted bed base, which provides excellent support and ventilation for any type of mattress you choose.

However, a mattress is a highly personal and considered purchase. We believe it's best to buy your mattress locally and not online, giving you the opportunity to try out different models and brands, ensuring one that suits your specific comfort needs. This way, you can invest in a mattress that will guarantee you a great night's sleep every time.

Our Italian bed frames are available in three main size options. These include the UK King Size, Euro King Size, and UK Super King Size. Each size is designed to accommodate a variety of room sizes and personal preferences for sleeping space. You can find the specific dimensions for each size on the product listing page. This variety allows you to choose the best fit for your room's layout and your comfort needs.

The UK King Size is 150cm wide x 200cm long and is the standard size for most adult single sleepers or couples who prefer a smaller sleeping space. The Euro King Size is 160cm wide x 200cm long and provides additional width compared to the UK King Size, making it perfect for larger individuals or couples who prefer more room while sleeping. Lastly, the UK Super King Size is 180cm wide x 200cm long and offers the most space for couples or individuals who prefer a spacious sleeping area.

When choosing the size of your Italian bed on our website, please note that you are selecting a bed frame designed to fit a specific mattress size. The overall dimensions of the bed frame will be larger than the mattress sizes provided above. To see the exact dimensions of each bed frame, please refer to the product listing page. This will ensure you select a bed frame that not only accommodates your chosen mattress size but also fits perfectly within your room's layout.

It's important to note that while our Italian bed frames aren't overly complex to assemble, we always recommend they be installed by two individuals, preferably with a strong understanding of DIY tasks. In particular, storage beds may pose a challenge for those without prior experience. The good news, however, is that we provide an affordable assembly service in various locations, relieving customers of any assembly-related stress. Feel free to contact our team for more information or to schedule an assembly service with your order.
